Maria Cina is a Madison and Milwaukee based theatre artist. Recently, she has appeared as Perfect (Madison College Performing Arts) in PJ Paparelli's COLUMBINUS, directed by Dana Pellabon, and as Regan (Madison Shakespeare Company + Optimist/Milwaukee Shakespeare) in a play on William Shakespeare's KING LEAR, directed by Emily Weeks. As well as acting, she has also worked behind the scenes, assistant directing OUR TOWN (Madison College Performing Arts) by Thornton Wilder. In and surrounding Madison, she has worked on productions and projects with Madison Theatre Guild, Kathy Rasmussen's Women's Theatre, St. Bernard's Players Theatre, and All Ladies All The Time.
Maria was seen as Morticia Addams in Madison College Performing Arts' production of THE ADDAMS FAMILY MUSICAL, directed by Robin Fonfara. She also appeared in Madison Theatre Guild's TITUS ANDRONICUS as Lavinia, directed by Betty Diamond, choreographed by Cindy Severt. In addition, Maria has makeup/hair designed for ARSENIC AND OLD LACE and MUSIC MAN (St. Bernard's Players Theatre), directed by Micky Reynolds.
Maria strives to bring discovery, emotion, life, and truth to her projects and performances, dedicating each and every one to her beautiful and giving parents who inspired and support her journies.
